The return links from Africa VSATs to Turin are expected to comprise mostly 156 ksps burst carriers with 180 kHz noise bandwidth and 200 kHz spacing.  Based on a satellite saturated EIRP to Europe of 48 dBW and -5 dB output back off the downlink power per carrier is approx 48 - 5 -10log(200k/36000k) = 20.5 dBW.

The LinkStar transmit module (BUC) is 2 watt standard (Bentley Telecom 5 April 2004)
