PLS IS IT POSSIBLE TO USE A 1.8 METER C-BAND VSAT TO BOTH INTERNET AND CABLE INSEAD OF HAVING A SEPERATE 90CM KUBAND DISH FOR THE CABLE TV WHILE THE C-BAND REMAIN FOR INTERNET ACCESS.

If the Ku band TV programming comes from a different, but close by, satellite I would try putting a TV Ku band feed/LNB by the side of the main C band feed/LNB/BUC. Keep the main dish and C band system optimised for the tx-rx VSAT operation and experiment with Ku band receive-only feed positions to see if you can get a signal. The new feed will need to be on the opposite side to the new satellite, since the dish is a reflector.

If the Ku band TV and C band VSAT operation are on the same satellite then an expensive C/Ku band feed is a theoretical possibility.  The danger is that a dubious C/Ku band feed might degrade the 6 GHz transmit cross polarisation or increase off-axis sidelobe emissions and cause you to interfere with someone else's service.  It will be much safer to have a dedicated 90cm dish and Ku band feed/LNB for the TV.

The eth command appears to display the output of the ifconfig command.  It is showing a variety of router interfaces.

Here is a link that may help: https://www.computerhope.com/unix/uifconfi.htm  I am guessing that ifconfig on iDirect works similar to linux.

Maybe it is possible to get more details about interface lo ? e.g. ifconfig lo  What is interface lo ?   Is this your LAN connection with a PC ?  Is the ethernet cable plugged in properly, pins undamaged ?  

netstat -i might be interesting.

If there are packets with errors are these coming over the satellite or from the local LAN.  If you suspect the satellite link try to extract information out about the receive satellite transmission, like bit error rate before and after FEC.  Try running a long LAN ping 127.0.0.1 -t to the modem. There should be no errors.
