The download movie file was blocked by my security settings.

I was pleased to see the advance warning that the file about to be downloaded was some 29 Mbytes long. This is good as it gives people a chance to say no to downloading excessive files sizes.

The videos showed an image of a PC screen, plus sound, while �7 web pages were accessed and carefully timed. The results were:

msn.com 16.6 sec
myspace.com 34.9 sec
slashdot.org 46.6 sec
apple.com 31.1 sec
bentley-walker 19.0 sec
yahoo.com 29.4 sec
facebook 32.6 sec

Such test results are best provided here as text, as above, in about 300 text character bytes, rather than many tens of Mbytes of video and audio.

Links to the video have been deleted since such links encourage forum visitors to abuse their network capacity. � Satellite internet users may be limited to perhaps 53 or 80 Mbytes per hour and need to be careful to avoid such large downloads.

my intention was simple. i wanted people to watch the video and tell me if they suffered the same doom i am suffering with slow web surfing. That was it.
