Title: info: DVBS2/SCPC technology

Dears;

we are thinking of a new investment at our hub to support the DVBS2/SCPC. we already having our DVBS2/TDMA (HX HUB) however supporting the DVBS2/SCPC technology will be an added value to Alkan.

any recommendation for the investment, any recommendation for the Network design at our HUB (modulators, demodulators..) any information will be really appreciated.

Is it possible to configure one of the HX hub receive frequencies in dedicated mode so that the one HX remote using that as its transmit frequency effectively has SCPC return link service ?

If you want lower than 256k reurn link it should be possible to do real SCPC on the return link, as Hughes suggest this for GSM backhaul. i.e HX for the outlink, SCPC for the return link.  Ask Hughes about design and choice of SCPC modem hardware.

Try to transmit one large carrier rather then multiple transmit carriers.

Best regards, Eric.
