ACM refers to the dynamic modification to the DVB-S2 outlink carrier to suit the link towards each VSAT remote.
The return links have dynamic FEC coding. The hub receiver (at a particular TDMA frequency and symbol rate) can deal with bursts of several different FEC rates, without knowing in advance what to expect. Overview: https://www.hughes.com/ProductsAndTechnology/BroadbandSatelliteSystems/TheHughesTechnologyAdvantage/Pages/default.aspx HN system: https://www.hughes.com/HNS%20Library%20For%20Products%20%20Technology/HN-System_H35493_LR_022608.pdf HX system: https://www.hughes.com/HNS%20Library%20For%20Products%20%20Technology/HX%20System_H38158_HR.pdf Bentley Walker have at least 5 HX hubs and Avanti-Hylas have a HN hub. I suggest you call them if you want a customer's perspective on the possible purchase of a HN or HX hub, otherwise discuss with Hughes direct to clarify the exact technical features. Best regards, Eric. |
