Hi

Have sent you an email regarding this requirement.

KA-Band is only available in Tripoli and areas west of Tripoli - the beam over Benghazi was steered over Northern Iraq.

Dears,

I am taking the liberty of contacting you regarding our company Es’hailSat, a new satellite operator formed in 2010 and based in Doha, Qatar. Our first satellite Es’hail 1 is on schedule for launch in the second quarter of 2013 and will provide Ku-band and Ka-band capacity over the Middle-East and North-Africa. It will be located at the 25.5° East orbital location, and with a small fixed satellite dish TV viewers will be able to receive the channels on Es’hail 1 and also those on the immediately adjacent satellites.

I enclose soft copies of the Ku-band and Ka-band MENA downlink coverages of Es’hail. I can only apologise for the quality of these, we are still at the stage of coverage maps from our technical / engineering department rather than something more user-friendly, but things will improve.

Es’hail 1 carries multiple payloads:

•      Ku-band, with MENA coverage and downlink frequencies in the 11.45-11.7 GHz band.
•      Ka-band, with MENA coverage and downlinks in the Ka-band BSS frequency range 21.4-22.0 GHz.
•      There is a further Ka-band payload. Essentially we have a cross-polar transponder pair which can be configured with one transponder having Doha to remote connectivity and the other transponder remote to Doha;  the remote beam can located be anywhere on the surface of the earth that’s visible from 25.5° East and the Doha end of the link could be connected by fibre to any location globally.

Finally, we are in the process of launching our website and social media presence, the work in progress is at:

•      https://www.eshailsat.qa
•      https://www.facebook.com/pages/EshailSat-the-Qatar-Satellite-Company/309354982437683
•      https://www.linkedin.com/company/2629963?trk=tyah
•      https://twitter.com/#!/eshailsat
•      https://www.youtube.com/user/EshailSat?feature=mhee

Es’hailSat will be exhibiting at the International Broadcaster’s Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam this September, and I hope to have the opportunity to meet with you there. Would it be possible to schedule a meeting at a time to suit you?

I look forward to hearing from you
With best regards

Regards
