Hello,

we are offering fully dedicated CIR on E48A inclined at USD 600 Tx and Rx. DVB-S2/SCPC.
Rx/Tx or Rx-only possible. (Rx-only with integrated VPN support)

You require:
- 1.2m tracking antenna system (or other eg. 2.4m system)
    We supply a full 1.2m tracking system at USD 3,940 EXW Germany, including:
       - DVB-S2 ACM Receiver
       - 1.2m antenna
       - Tracking controller and adapter/motorisation
       - PLL LNB
- Pole mount
- for Tx, you require a modulator/modem (eg. Newtec EL470, Romantis UHP, Comtech CDM570)
- for Tx, you require an extended Ku-Band BUC, appr. 4W/Mbps Tx

- coverage ME (see attachments)
- Teleport antenna 5.6m in Munich
- at least double redundant backbone

Price is based on 1.2m and DVBS2-ACM modulation (Newtec, Romantis), within the center footprint on 1.2m.

Hello,

we received some feedback about quality issues on inclined satellites.
Yes, there there are quite some issues with standard 2-axis controllers.
Still, we are using a completely different approach.

Our system is designed to performance, ease of use and reliability.
We are using one-axis-tracking.
This will give you the best benefit - as long as your screws and pole are tightened well at installation.

You will receive feedback after 24h from installation.
If the installation is good, it will remain so, provided your pole and screws are fixed.

!!We guarantee that from the tracking performance, you will not realise a difference to a stable orbit.!!

We have a few samples available to verify. Just let us know.

Thank you for including good coverage maps.

The use of a satellite in inclined orbit to provide inexpensive capacity is good news.

I was intrigued by this and have made the plot below:

The short wide blue line shows the track of the E48A (previously called Eutelsat 48A, W48, Eutelsat W48, HB2, Hotbird 2, Hot Bird 2, Eurobird 9!!) satellite movement over 24 hours from a viewpoint in Samarkand, toward the east side of the coverage. 4 Feb 2015.
The positions of possible satellites at 80E, 60E and 30E along the curved geostationary arc line are also marked, in addition to Eutelsat at 48E. The 'top' of the orbit is due south of a theoretical example customer site in Samarkand.

The satellite is being kept within 0.1 deg east-west along the geostationary orbit line. It is presently moving inclined daily 4.8 deg above and below the orbit and it is this line that is followed by a single axis positioner.

The E48A is towards the south west from Uzbekistan. If you are located nearer to 48E the satellite will be nearer the top of the orbit and the movement will be nearer to up-down, and if you were exactly on 48E longitude the movement would be exactly vertical.
