I recently purchased a VSAT satellite and I am currently trying to aim at W6 and can't seem to get it. I am at 30.05 north Lat and 47.89 East Lon. I used the satellite finder on the site and still can't seem to find it. Does anyone know another calculator that I can try to get aligned to this? Also does anyone know a company that can come out to Camp Bucca iraq and help with setup? thanks

Who is the service provider, and why aren't they helping you with this?

Did you subtract the dish offset?

A common problem is aiming too high because you have neglected to subtract the "dish offset" from the elevation.  The dish offset should be provided in the dish manual.

As indicated above, your service provider should help with this.

If you can't get it, contact me offline and I will put you in touch with an Iraqi installer who may be able to help.  He is, however unwilling to go to some locations for fear of losing his head.
