Dear All,

Latly i received an offer, form a compnay that provides it's services via AMC 12, the ODU specifications it is as: 1.8m c band, and 5 Watt BUC, i wounder if this hardware can work greatly in all over sudan, because lately i've been toold that AMC12 has a very weak coverage over Sudan, and in order to get adedicated bandwidth 128/128Kbps, i need 2.4m antenna c band and 20Watt Buc, which is very expensive and not reasonable to go for.

can it work with 1.8m antenna and 5 Watt BUC ?

After looking at https://www.lyngsat.com/amc12.html and https://www.ses-americom.com/americom/siteSections/satellitesAndTeleports/covera...; I don't think you'll get a definitive answer until it's known to which transponder you'd be assigned. Without that info though, I could only venture a guess that even 2.4m might be too small if you find a need to increase bandwidth someday.

You might find something more to your needs by starting here: https://www.satsig.net/ivsat-africa.htm

Well, I'm confused now. Is this a satellite internet question? or a satellite TV question?
