Hi  ALL.

i have a serious problem on my site i just lost two set of modem within a week.

what i noticed is that the modem Rx side does not give me good signal voltage, the best i could get is about 8volt which is very abnormal. i finally took my LNB to test in another site and it was working perfectly.i also tested the modem there and it was not working up to the right volt.i believe this must have been i am having a damage cable which i did not noticed in time that have result in me loosing my modems

i try entring the modem but its not accepting the general password and even when i try using the console cable, the area where i am suppose to apply USER NAME & PASSWORD is not accepting any carracter (letters).

please do any one have solution for me or what best to do.i believe i have to ship my modems (3) back to the factory (iDirect) but i dont know how to go about this.

please give me good informaton on how to fix my modem, who to contact, how much will  it cost me, how long will the repair take before sending them back to me and how to apply for this cos i can not afford to loose 3 modem just like that.i need your helps all.

thanks.

DID YOU GET THE MODEM FROM YOUR ISP OR LOCALLY ?

HAVE YOU EVER LOGGED INTO THE MODEM BEFORE ?

WHICH USERNAME AND PASSWORD ARE YOU USING THAT IS NOT ACCEPTING ?

WHAT IS THE STATUS OF THE LEDS?

Dear Sir

I have a new question about iDirect 3100.

I have to be sure that my router (iDirect 3100) is correct, before I install it in the target place.
I want to check it in my home by locking a signal of a TV channel (VOX at 11.054 on Hotbird 13, for example).
Previously, this iDirect was working in another place fine, but after I upgraded it's bios and opt file, as my provider sent me, it doesn't show any signal (rx pointing show 0.3000 and rx snr is -1) even it's LNB PWR LED was red.
I changed the new opt file as below:

rx_freq was 1086889999 changed to 1304000000
down_translation was 10000.000000 changed to 9750.000000
when 1304 is result of 11054 (desire freq) – 9750 (Lband)

Now the LNB power led is green but same as before, rx_snr is -1 and rx pointing is still 0.3000.
I don't know is this test possible or not, and if it is, how I can set other parameters of TP like symbol rate, FEC and what options I have to set/change.

Would you please help me?

with the best regards
Ahmad

sir,

regarding to the Rx Led which mean the LNB terminal.

it can't be solid green and you have snr -1
seems you have confused

try to check your service provider to know what's the correct sat. you wil poit to
then try to make the cable length doesn't exceed 20 Meters

then try to use the iSite for the Pointing it will be better than anything else

and make sure that the antenna doesn't face any Obstcals so that you will not fall into SCPC errors so that you will lose the lock the sat.
