Distributed NMS

Lukio Member ★★ Offline Posts: 29	Feb 8^th, 2008 at 10:56am Hi Guys, Anyone run a distributed NMS? We're looking to upgrade one of our hubs to iDS V8 and possibly running distributed NMS. I know sweet F.A. about it at the moment and was wondering if anyone is doing this and if there are any release notes from iDirect with a fuller explanation? Cheers, Lukio ;.)

If you have a large customer base, it will difinitely take the load off that E366 or E3550 (single) NMS server. �8.0 is memory and processor intensive (memory especially) so you should definitely consider 1) Distributed NMS or 2) adding memory to your current box. �

Other than that, I havent heard anything bad about it. �I know iDirect was working a redundancy feature for it, but I am not sure if it is out yet (it may be, I am not sure).
