My modem is locked by the provider.  I want to remove the lock key.

I am waiting to help me.  I'm appreciating your cooperation.

Good luck returning it to the wildcard.  The lock is derived from the DID.  If you have iSUPPORT and can prove you own that modem, you can always call the TAC at iDirect.

Never mind breaking the lock on the modem, but could any one decipher any of the sentences in the last post?

I agree with A.Walker.....console has nothing to do with remote locking.

In order to unlock your 3100 from the provider you need to speak with them, they are the only ones that can unlocked, however if you can't do that and you are the legitimate owner of the modem and have no contract obligations with the provider of the modem, then you can talk to iDirect TAC, they will unlock the modem after verification that you are the owner and have no contract obligations with the provider that the modem was running on.

Cheers,

Thereby replacing one locked modem with another i.e. they will still have you by the 'short and curly' ... what a load of BS.

Why don't these so called 'providers' grow up for once and act professionally without using 'underhand' tactics to forcefully keep people coughing up to use their oversubscribed networks.

Of coarse this is just my opinion, I could be wrong...
