Is this a 3100 iDirect unit? If not, what model is it?  Also, what iDS version are you using?

1.  Can you telnet 0 from console?  (doubtful)
2.  Look at your options fiel in notepad and confirm whether or not it matches the software version on your iDirect unit.

There is obviously something wrong with eth0 of that unit.  It could be your options file or the port could be dead entirely.
