Is there any way to change the latitude and longitude the LinkStar uses from the RCST?
How does the GPS update the latitude and longitude on the RCST?

What does changepos do and how does it wrok?

I've used the command -lat and -lon to change the lat and long values.  Hope this helps.  I have been told though that the linkstar modem does not need this information because it doesn't have a bulit in pointer.

Any reason why you want to change the lat/long on the modem itself?
There is no need to enter lat/long info into the modem as this info is only mandatory in the Hub/NMS. The location information entered in the Hub will be sent to the terminal and used to calculate the satellite delay time to transmit acquire into the network.

Only if you are going to use the RCST in Maritime (read "as a mobile unit) mode, should you use Lat/Long info locally in the RCST. This is a feature which also requires a GPS attached to the modem.
