There is a problem with your options file.  Inability to telnet 0 is a dead giveaway.

You need to stop the falcon process before attempting to cat in the new options file

From the root/linux prompt type:

service idirect_falcon stop

Ensure the options file you are loading is "good" and it is not a hub-side options file.

1-service idirect_falcon stop
2- recovery steps
A- cd /etc/idirect/falcon
B- mv falcon.opt falcon.opt.old
C- cat > falcon.opt
D- paste the option file
E- service idirect_falcon restart
the problem is the modem not respond for restart

This has been posted at least 10 times that I know of. Not sure where it goes. The procedures can be found in the the "How to recover iNFINIT remotes" document.

Open the good opt in notepad.
Control A and right click/copy all
From the linux prompt (root) type:
# service idirect_falcon stop
# cd ..
(ensure that space is there)
# cd /etc/idirect/falcon/
# ls -l
(note that falcon.opt resides in the directory)
# cat > falcon.opt
(when it moves you down to the next line automatically, right click and paste the "good" options file).

Once it pastes (fully). Hit the <enter> key once and Control D (done).

Type reboot at the linux prompt.  When it comes up, it will be on the good opt.

I would suggest removing/renaming the old options file first before cat'ing.

That is certainly good practice (and the textbook answer), but more often than not the opt is corrupt...and therefore unusable.
