ITC Global have seven iDirect Hubs serving virtually all parts of the world with lots of C and Ku band coverages.

They have C band coverage of Africa using NSS12.

I've taken their giant composite C band map, trimmed the edges and tried to compress it (is 41k, was 445k bytes!) so that it fits below and remains readable and is reasonably quick for you to download.

NSS-12 is at 57deg east so you have really good high elevation angle operation in Sudan and Kenya. Also, as it uses circular polarisation it will work well in tropical areas as it is not affected by Faraday rotation. C band is resistant to rain fades but watch out for possible interference from terrestrial WIMAX wireless systems using the lower part of the 4 GHz band.

Try contacting their Australia office as a start.  They have offices elsewhere as well. Go to their web site for more details.
