Hi Everyone,

Well, one of my fren was configuring a idirect Modem, he accidently inserted the Option file before the package files were installed. Now the Modem has been locked. How can I solve this problem and make it normal.

Need to find the solution asap.

Please help me out.

With Best Regards,

Sushil.

The only way to recover this is to connect you pc to the console port of the modem and login to the linux side

once you have logged in you need to do the following

cd /etc/idirect/falcon/

cat > falcon.opt

then paste in the old options file for the existing version of images in the modem

then do the following

hit return

ctrl + d

then reboot the modem

can be done with a simple

reboot

command and you should be back up and running to do the images then the options file

Hii

The option file was loaded well before the package files(i.e. Cumulative and the remote files) were inserted. So will the procedure you mentioned above works. I just wanted to be clarified abt it.

and can it be done in a windows environment.

WBR,

Sushil.
