Hi All,
New to this forum living in rural Spain and I'm looking for some advise on installing a Tooway Ka system? I've done TV sat. installs previously and know my way round aiming a dish, So...

Firstly where is the best place to buy the equipment from?

Next when it comes to the setup, what type of sat. finder/meter can be used? as I think the Ka band is a higher frequency than the usual sat. tv finders are capable of?

And how or must you set up a contract for the service, if so how?

Many thanks!      hoping someone can point me in the right direction

hi, well the new system is good news for you as you don't need a meter. once connected to the modem the lnb (or tria) on the dish gives off a tone which increases as you lock on to the satellite. you just need to ensure you have a good line of site on a bearing of 167 degrees

That seems simple, I assume you are able to turn the tone on and off?  I read somewhere that there is a way of displaying the signal spectrum on a laptop direct from the modem is this correct?

Thanks for the info.
Regards
