Hello,

kacific.com just told me that:

"Any modem compatible with the i-direct hub XLC-11 will be compatible with Kacific."

Does that mean *ANY* Evolution modem would work? Any limitations on this?

I'm also told that, compared to the plain X1:
"Without LED's, the x1OUTDOOR is not intended for remote inspection. If you're comfortable with having no idea what the modem is doing, or even whether it's logged on, that may well work for you - but I doubt it"

Dont we have the same computer LAN local access to the outdoor version, if there is no led's?

For use under the equator I have seen too many open desktop modem PCBs go damp, dusty, corroded quickly, so my interest in the expensive x1outdoor.

Tks for opinions.

Christian
