Hello Mark,    Sorry to be a pain but how dare those b..... foreigners tell us to pipe down?

No doubt you've read The Sunday Times today (20th April 2008, page 7) and I wish "Europe" would mind it's own business and concentrate on more important issues such as their budget and alleged fiddling of expenses, etcetera.

As for the Belgians we very ably assisted them in WW1 at enormous cost with thousands of British and Commonwealth casualties and in WW2, and if Monty had had his way, we would have stalled the Hun / Nazis in Belgium, except the Belgian troops were running away. Perhaps the Germans are now having a say having been terrified by the noise of the Highland pipes in two worlds wars, where even English regiments employed Scottish pipers to put the fear of God into the enemy. And if you don't like the pipes then just run away.

As I've said before, I'm not anti-Europe as we have very good friends in Germany, France, Holland and Belgium, but the EU is going too far and I would be sorely tempted to vote for UKIP at the next election unless my preferred party would offer to restrain those in Brussels and tell them to mind their own b..... business! No doubt the French, with their Breton pipes, will tell them to get stuffed, or in their inimical fashion merely ignore any such stupid legislation that might be forthcoming.
