We are trying to get a BEV signal in south FL. Have coordinates of 190.16 (azimuth) and elevation of 57.9 but can't locate the satellite. Is any one having success with their CDN system in FL?

Where specifically are you in South Florida Lin? If you're pointing at Nimiq (91W) that azimuth doesn't sound right. Correcting for magnetic declination from, say- Homestead, computes closer to 209 degrees.

Greg,
We are just south of Fort Myers - just north of Bonita Springs. We are at a total loss - tech challenged you might say. We couldn't find any help at home so I looked on the web for the co-ordinates based on our location here and the ones I mentioned are what I came up with. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks.

This website actually has a dish pointing calculator link that you could have used - down at the bottom of the page.

My calculations from Bonita Springs 26.34N/81.78W to the BEV bird at 91W arrive at
AZ  204.7 (corrected for magnetic deviation)
EL    57.5
POL  17.9

But I don't know what kind of scale may be on the back of your BEV dish to set the polarisation angle (skew). DirecTV (and maybe DishNetwork) require that you add about 35 to that number.

Thanks!
We found it with the help of a neighbour with a meter. The satellite locator was how I found my original coordinates but didn't adjust for the magnetic north.
