satellite
internet connection in Kenya
« on: 29. Jul 2004 at 17:56 » |
I am going to Kenya for a year to work for a
non-profit organisation from the Netherlands. I will be needing
a internet connection there, to keep the organisation informed,
and my personal weblog updated. Also I want to give some
computer education (I got 35 computers on the boat right now.)
I was thinking the get a satellite connexion, does anyone know
what it will cost?
Which ISP's I can go to?
What equipment can I buy? and what do you advise?

We can offer a solution based on a 2.4m C band
antenna, 5 watt BUC, DRO LNB, NetModem II with cables and
connectors utilizing a shared platform, powered by iDirect.
Monthly cost starts at $371. The equipment package is $7302. I
can offer the information for an installer in Cape Town if that
would be helpful. Please let me know if there is anything
further I can offer.
Thank you. |
