Satellite internet service provider in Iraq - Nashita VSAT solutionsNashita is a leading ICT company in Iraq since 1999 and now provides both dedicated and shared VSAT satellite internet service in Iraq. Much effort was put into evaluating alternative VSAT technologies with the objective of providing reliable, robust and secure systems suitable for customers needing business critical satellite communications links. Two partners were selected, the first, Taide Network AS, for dedicated VSAT service and the second, Tacheon, for shared access VSAT service. To contact Nashita, please call: or email: info@nashita.net or visit their web site: http://www.nashita.net/ Dedicated satellite internet service in IraqDedicated service is offered using JanUX IV-M and JanUX V-M VSAT technology in the Intelsat 10-02 high power Ku band spot beam centred on the Iraq area. The elevation angle is high up around degrees, well clear of the problems that occur at 10 deg or below with rain fade and scintillation in warm humid weather. The Taide Network AS teleport is at Nittedal in Norway where there is 155 Mbit/s connection into the terrestrial internet backbone. Your customer VSAT terminal will be 1.8 to 3.6m diameter depending on location in the beam contours. Bit rates available range from 64kbit/s to 10.24 Mbit/s in the up direction and 64 kbit/s to 53 Mbit/s in the download direction. The JANUX VSAT satellite internet access system uses SCPC for the return link from you to the teleport. The outlink uses a 52 Mbit/s carrier oriented to very efficient packet mode transmissions for internet and VoIP. Is an interesting improvement over the DVB-S arrangement and removes legacy framing overheads used for television and audio. With dedicated service your interface to the satellite equipment is a 10/100BasT etherenet cable so you may connect your own router /switch in order to connect as few or as many PCs as you wish. Typical customer applications will range from small businesses or internet cafes with several PCs up to large offices, community wireless LANs and small VoIP local phone/internet ISPs. Shared satellite internet service in IraqThis service, like the one above, was designed specifically for the purpose of delivering TCP/IP connectivity in a reliable and cost efficient fashion both for internet browsing and VoIP phone calls. The number of Tacheon sites in Iraq, now around 300, speaks well for the operation. A most significant feature of the Tacheon based service is the way they have set up monthly volume guarantees. Rather than allow a free-for-all where greedy users may cause congestion, the sharing system counts the amount of traffic used by each customer and prioritises those customers with the least traffic so as to give all a fair share. You are not stopped when you reach your guaranteed amount but when over the amount will start to experience a slowing down at peak load times. Quality of service (QoS) controls are used to prioritise VoIP calls. Shared service is most appropriate for the home and for small office users with just a few PCs and VoIP phone. |
