HughesNet VSAT service for internet rural business kiosks in India

Comat Technologies, an Indian company, has contracted a Hughesnet VSAT hub to provide service for 10,000 VSAT terminals in rural India. These terminals will be located at rural business community centres or kiosks.

Comat has experience working in rural India and proposes local internet access kiosks. The population in rural India is around 700 million and have, top date, relatively poor access to communications and internet access. So far over 350 kiosks of ICICI group are operating in the state of Maharashtra.  Read more about rural business centres in India
