DVB/SCPC means that the outlink from the large hub to your remote terminal comprises a large DVB type carrier (say 30 - 40 Mbit/s).  Your modem receives and extracts just the data stream that you pay for, e.g. 256k, 512k, 1024, 2048 kbit/s etc.

Your transmit return link to the hub comprises a dedicated full time small carrier like 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 512kbit/s etc back to the hub.

The definition of SCPC is "Single channel per carrier"

Intelsat 906 satellite - C band - circular polarisation. Hemi beam covers all Africa.  Zone beam does not include the northern coastal area.

C band is ideal for high rainfall areas and circular polarisation ideal for tropical regions affected by ionospheric Faraday rotation.
