1. The 1st ever Quintum Certified Service partner (QCSP) training event held in Africa and hosted, with great success, by Q-KON

Most manufacturers and service providers aim at selling equipment and services, yet the long-term sustainability of networks is mostly determined by the skills and experience available to support and service these networks. The Q-KON Training Academy is focussed on building the engineering skills required to maintain and support the ever-growing VSAT industry. Endorsed by PanAmSat, these courses provide delegates with knowledge and experience that empower them to fulfil field engineering tasks with confidence.

2. Q-KON provides field engineering support for Harris

Harris Corporation is an international communications equipment company focused on providing product, system, and service solutions for commercial and government customers. The company's four operating divisions serve markets for microwave, broadcast, secure tactical radio, and government communications systems. With the development in VSAT infrastructure within Africa, Q-KON now provides field engineering support for an ever extending Harris MCS VSAT network. This support spans the continent - from Tunisia in the North, Dar es Salaam in the East, Mozambique in the South and Senegal in the West. Q-KON has earned a reputation with its customers for excellent service delivery over the past years not only in the field of connectivity provision, but also as a VSAT network support entity. However challenging logistics are at times Q-KON is fortunate in the sense that we can draw manpower from our regional offices in Nigeria and Angola to meet customer demands.

3. Q-KON’s Training Academy continues to invest in and empower Africa

The next course will be held at the Ocean View Restaurant in VI, Lagos on the 21st & 22nd of June.

Quintum Certified Service Partner (QCSP) Training a huge success… “The Quintum challenge was invaluable in putting to practice what was learnt…” “The high demand for VoIP knowledge and Quintum TENOR skills in Africa was overwhelming. This is the first time, in all my years of training on most of the worlds continents, that back-to- back courses had to be booked,” says Joseph Christensen, a Quintum technical trainer.

This is just some of the feedback received from the first ever QSCP training event held in Africa. During May, Q-KON hosted two back-to-back QSCP courses and successfully trained a total of 32 industry individuals.
