What chance a Referendum !

Sometimes you need to repeat things many times to get the referendum message across so here goes, for the first time:

It is the responsibility of the government to look after the county and this includes defending it from being taken over by foreigners.  The government seem to have forgotten this - so the people have to now tell the government in a referendum that they need to start representing the country and make it clear that we will remain self governing for ever.

In the Referendum say NO to the traitors who would have us ruled by foreigners.

Here is a typical contribution that I have received:   "I Want a Referendum"

This is a cross-party campaign set up to press for a vote on the revised EU Constitution, launched last week 7 Sept 2007. Already by 12 Sept 2007, over 6000 people have signed up to support the campaign through the new website. The launch has received wide coverage in the press and media.

The UK Government promised a referendum on the original version of the EU Constitutional Treaty, and was elected on this manifesto commitment.  Now Gordon Brown intends to go back on his word by denying people a vote on the new version of the Treaty. This campaign needs your help to make him keep his promise.

If adopted, the Constitutional Treaty would mean that in future new powers could be transferred to the EU without the need for any more new treaties. Further powers could be simply transferred gradually to the EU, with no public debate. In other words - this could be our last ever chance to have a say on the future of the EU. We must not miss it.

There is not much time: Gordon Brown wants to force the Constitution through Parliament in early 2008. This campaign will be organising national and local campaigns over the coming months in order to maximise pressure for a referendum.

Our campaign cannot succeed without your help.  To sign up in support of a referendum on the revised EU Constitution, please click on the link below: http://www.iwantareferendum.com/sign.aspx

Please, email your friends, family and colleagues to tell them about the campaign.

The campaign will be launching a cinema advert later in September putting the case for a referendum.  The initial phase advert will be seen by 1,000,000 people.   Further details can be found on: http://www.iwantareferendum.com

Thank you for your support, Derek Scott, campaign chairman.   12 Sept 2007

An EU referendum is an excuse for incompetent government incapable of making a responsible decision.

Please do what you can to stop the ditherers and make it clear that in future we govern ourselves.

Don't give power to anyone you can't get rid of in an election.

The Nazis ( NAZI = abbreviation for "national socialism" ) sweet-talked the German voters and what did we get - an aspiring dictatorial socialist tyranny led by Hitler, attacking us, killing us and trying to conquer our country and killing off millions of people he didn't like.  Don't let that be forgotten.

Keep us free from European socialist tyranny

Quote of the week:   William Rees Mogg in Mail on Sunday (UK newspaper) 15 May 2005:   "One can think of members of the European Parliament as a group of undertakers, determined to nail down the coffin in which Europe's competitiveness has been enclosed."
