Ski Kaprun 2007

We travelled out from London Gatwick on Feb 2007.

Arrived at Saltzburg airport

After collecting out luggage we dashed out side to get on the coach and managed to get the front seats on the top deck.  The rep downstairs joked that she could see us on her CCTV camera.  Journey to the resort fine.  No problems.

Hotel Orgler turned out to be in great location, in Kaprun town centre on the far side of the bridge from the supermarket.  Distance to the bus stop in the morning for trip to the Kitzsteinhorn about 400 yards.  In the afternoon you arrive back at the bottom of the ski are and from there is a 100 yards to the supermarket and a further 100m back to the hotel ski locker door.

We went off the to ski boot and ski hire shop which was right by the supermarket.  We were kitted out with some nice short skies and boots.

Hotel Orgler was great. The staff were friendly, it was nice and warm - fire in the lounge.  Good Sauna and water pool also.

On wed we complained about our boots which were uncomfortable and did not seem to fit the skis properly.  Discovered we had on odd boots from each other!

The weather was sunny all week with some snow on the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights. The final day ski was great, fresh snow and sun again all day so skied from top to bottom.  More skiing this week than on most previous holidays.  Brilliant.

Meals good, especially the buffet evening.
