TRAFFIC

Monthly traffic graph - ratio of incoming and outgoing traffic

This graph shows an example of monthly traffic. The download traffic is the "In" and upload traffic "Out"

Monthly web site traffic log

The download component is 141.659 kbit/s or 47.4 G bytes per month.   A PC user may download 1 G bytes per month and need an average bit rate of 3 kbit/s.   But it could be very much more if they download videos etc.  The traffic analysis has been done using the traffic measuring tool featured here http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~oetiker/webtools/rrdtool/ which is a traffic data logging and graphing application

I am thinking of making up a PC with Linux and putting the RRDTOOL program on it and then plugging it into the network to monitor the traffic of each terminal. If you know how to do this I would be pleased to hear from you.   Have I got the right idea ?   eric@satsig.net

Traffic on the internet looking for the terms "satellite internet" or "satellite broadband"

I thought the two graphs below might be of interest to visitors:

Search traffic graph for the term: satellite internet
