Above is the HP ProLiant DL140 G3 Server which you may buy, pre-loaded with the TES software.  You may alternatively use your own generic PC chassis (must have two NIC ports) and boot it with the free download TES CD software package.

The 1U high TES or your PC, plus TES1000 software make a dedicated network interface between the satellite modem (iDirect as illustrated) and your LAN switch or router.

The equipment you require is called a Traffic Engineering Server (TES) and is a dedicated PC chassis with two ethernet network interface sockets.  You connect one ethernet socket to your satellite VSAT modem. You connect the other ethernet socket to your LAN switch or router. 

The PC hardware may be purchased (HP ProLiant DL140 G3 Server) from BusinessCom Internet via Satellite ready loaded with the Linux TES software package or you may use a generic PC chassis of your own and use the free download CD version of Linux TES software package - good for up to 30 PCs in your LAN.

The BusinessCom Viper TES-1000 is a Traffic Engineering Server designed to monitor and manage Internet Protocol traffic passing through an Internet Service Provider.
