VSAT Installation & Maintenance Training Course in Nairobi over 10-13 April 2006 at the Silver Springs Hotel, Nairobi.

AITEC Kenya in partnership with the Global VSAT Forum (GVF) invites delegates for a four day GVF VSAT Installation & Maintenance Training Course in Nairobi over 10-13 April 2006 at the Silver Springs Hotel Nairobi. This is part of an extensive programme to promote excellence in satellite communications in Africa.

Today’s increasing deployment of two-way, interactive, broadband satellite networks has created a major challenge for satellite and network operators, system integrators, manufacturers, and equipment installers throughout the world… a challenge that equates to many thousands – and in some cases millions – of dollars in increased costs and decreased competitiveness for individual companies.

Installation procedures for bi-directional satellite systems are complex. As demand for and installation of satellite solutions rises, and in the absence of an industry-standard installation training course, satellite industry companies are paying a step price due to signal interference, network inefficiency, low mean time between failures, higher maintenance and after-sales service requirements, and impaired customer perceptions.

The GVF VSAT Installation & Maintenance Training Course was created to serve as the global industry standard for installers of bi-directional satellite earth stations. It was established by a consensus of expert volunteers serving in the GVF Education & Training Working Group.

The GVF VSAT installer course is aimed at training people to be able to install and maintain VSAT systems. The course will include theory work as well as practical skills. Delegates will receive 130 pages course manual as well as a CD. We are working in agreement with GVF on a presentation that will include the basic details, but with the manual the participants will have much more theory.

The intended audience will include System administrators, IT Managers, technicians, field engineers, support engineer, operational managers and anybody else willing to learn VSAT.

The cost for the course is KES 40,000 or USD 580 the fee covers the course material both soft and hard as well as lunches and teas for the two days as well as the course certificate.
