Title: Can I use my DW7000 in Iraq? Post by Curtis Theis on Apr 7th, 2006 at 8:52am
I will soon be deployed to Iraq and currently have an account with Direcway in the US. I have a DW7000 modem and a dish with a 1-watt transmitter. Is it pragmatic to bring this dish along and use it there?
If so, what will I need to do? Any help would be appreciated! |

It has been reported that the the Direcway (now HughesNet) network operations center in Europe grants special dispensation for US Forces. Otherwise US-spec Direcway/HughesNet equipment is not normally commissioned outside of North America.
