Title: DirecWay
Post by Snarg on May 15th, 2006 at 3:10am
Greetings.

We recently re-roofed the house and removed the dish in the process. Well, we fogot to mark the original mounting holes and have no clue how to realign the dish. I really don't waant to pay another $150 to have an installer come back out and set it up.

Also, we may be chaning to a pole mount. Any suggestions on why type of pole to use?

Thank you in advance.

Whatever you use requires 2-3/8" OD. The length depends upon the frostline in your area. It's recommended the pole extends to no less than 24" or one foot below the frost line, whichever is longer. Above the must be enough pole left so that the bottom edge of the dish is a minimum 60" above ground level.

Typically Sch40 galvanized steel works fine, Sch80 for chronically windy areas, stainless for salty areas.
