Title: Tanzania Satellite Internet + Install Post by freshwater on Aug 1st, 2006 at 2:19am
Hi All,
We are an Australian School wishing to establish Satellite Internet in a Tanzanian school. I have been looking at https://www.globaltt.com/ IPsky2e internet service and it seems to be reasonable and reliable. If anyone can give any information on previous experiences with Globaltt, such as reliability, support, speed, that would be great. Also, if you could recommend other reliable providers, that would be much appreciated. I am also after the services of a qualified technician to install and configure the Satellite equipment as well as ensure the installation of the network equipment we send works as intended. We would also like to keep this person for future technical support if/when required. The location of the installation is near Songea, Tanzania. Kind Regards, Guy Havenstein Freshwater Senior Campus Sydney, Australia guy.havenstein@det.nsw.edu.au |

What are your requirements?
Depending on what you want to do, some solutions may perform better than others. How many PCs will use the service? Do you have any requirement for VoIP service? Many schools are beginning to use distance learning that involves audio/video services, ranging from simple webcams to full IPTV capabilities. MPEG-4 systems are becoming popular for distance learning. Is this in your short or long term plans? Rather than specify a particular service provider, it's often better to start with the full details of your requirements and then ask which technology solution and service provider can best service your needs.
