I need to use INSAT 4A. I am based in Riyadh. Based on the Lat-Long finder, I have got the following details for INSAT 4A:

Dish Elevation = 40.5
Azimuth = 117.8 magnetic compass
Polarisation = -52.2

I wanted to know whether the details are correct. I am trying to access INSAT 4A for TataSky DTH. I wanted to know what kind of LNB should I use. From the information I gathered online, I have concluded that I would need C band LNB. Am I correct ? Please help me with the dish installation.

I think you will need C band linear polarisation 3.7 - 4.2 GHz LNB. �Coverage is:

If you look at the program listings https://www.lyngsat.com/in4a.html you will see that Tata Sky DTH is intended for viewers in the Ku band India spot only.

Hi,

Your look angles seem fine as per calculation. Insat series of satellites normally provide two types of C-bands frequencies. One, Normal C-Band, 3.7 to 4.2 GHz (LO 5.15 GHz) and Two, Extended C-band 4.5 to 4.8 GHz (LO 5.76 GHz or LO 5.95 GHz). You need to confirm the frequencies used by TataSKy in order to select and use the correct LNB.

I've just looked at the Lyngsat program list and all the Insat 4A Tata Sky programmes are in Ku band only and for India only.

Saudi Arabia is convered by the C band beam. �Many of the programs appear to be of Indian nature but none have the Tata Sky name associated with them. There may have been some there in the past but none now so the message above from satmedia about TataSky in C band no longer applies, but if you do look for other C band programs do check the exact C band frequencies and the type of C band LNB needed.

The links to NSS 6 Dish TV service clearly shows a beam specifically covering India.

None of the beam maps cover Ukraine.

Study Lyngsat till you find a combination of program and satellite that look feasible where you are.

Note that TataSky equipment intended for use in India will operate at the TataSky Ku band frequencies listed and with a valid paid-for subscription card inserted. �If you want to use the same equipment elsewhere on a different satellite then this is rather uncertain. �General purpose FTA satellite TV receivers with universal LNBs have the best chance. �Highly specific hardware with encryption cards may not be readily retuneable.

i have installed tata sky in riyadh on a 2.1 m dish

after 3pm i get good reception.

after 9am-3pm some sports chanels gives problem.

Tatasky can be received in Riyadh

I used "Hunter Dish" 2.5m Dia.
Universal LNB & signals are crystal clear...

Neo Sports, Neo Sports+ VH1 & DD Sporsts signals are weak during 9:00am till 4:00pm but all other channels are pretty good.

Before doing this u have to bring Tatasky Digicomp preactivated from india & expences over here for dish, lnb and technicians could be from SR. 700 and above.
