The problem is that I have Linkstar modem and I want to change my satellite ISP to another one. They give me the password to the Linkstar and I can access by telnet to the modem but I found that they lock the RCST so no one can give me service on my Linkstar when I ask him. He said that the main hub is lock RCST on my modem because its �most work for one year with them �the service was in csat2 .
Is there any way to unlock RCST so I can have service again?.

Only ISP can unlock the RCST, as there is RCST lock configuration at Linkstar Hub

hi,
Please how do one know if his modem has been locked by his ISP.I have a modem i was using with an ISP before but i dont know if the modem has been locked cos i want to consider another ISP.But i want to be sure that the modem has not been blocked by the old ISP.

if it is locked by pin code only then it simple to unlock the modem by trial and error. use an excel file to generate the command:
unlockrcst -kr 0000
to
unlockrcst -kr 9999

then copy each 100 cell from excel file to hyperterminal window (after loggin to terminal as root) until your modem unlocked.

Only if your modems are lock by your isp or hub. (2) if all the lights are stay. (3) If your modem have lock and can not brows. Please email now and get it sloved.
