hello for all
I have forget my inclinometer and i need to log on eutelsat w3a.My position is lat. N is 18.26 and long E is 1.24.whit that a have AZ=162.154 ,EL=67.57.My dish is a prodelin 2.4 offset 22.6.My mater is what i haven t an inclinometer,if someone can help me please thanks |

On a Prodelin dish, the lower rear part of the spine is at right angles to the beam direction.
Cut this out, add length of cotton thread and a small nut and tilt till the nut is on the line. Put the cotton through a pinhole and secure with sticky tape on the back. You can make cardboard inclinometers like this any time and they are very accurate. If you don't have a protractor, go to start, all programs, accessories, calculator, scientific mode and then do tan of the angle. ( tan = opposite over adjacent ) so just measure the distances out. An alternative is dangling a long string (say 1 to 3m long) and then measuring sideways distances at the top of bottom to the metal or dish. Best regards, Eric. |
