DEAR SIR,
PLEASE HOW DO I KNOW WHEN MY BUC IS BAD. AM WORKING AT SITE AFTER LOCKING THE ANTENNA SIGNAL TO THE SPECIFIED   SATELITTE AND FREQUENCY MY NOC SAID THAT CAN SEE MY CARRIER.WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM THAT THEY WILL CAN SEE THE CARRIER ONLINE. AND ON MY LINKSTAR MODEM THE SAT LED IS BLINKING ALTHOUGH VERY SLOW. AND ALL THE PARAMETERS ARE WELL CONFIGURED.

well, I'm not very familiar with linkstar equiment, but you should always arrange with the operators at the vsat hub (or anyone else with an good spectrum analyzer) and transmit a clean carrier wave. the form of the carrier and its power level,  will tell them if your buc is faulty.

Of course, some of these symptoms could be the result of an bad isolation of the connectors, damaged IFL, or low power at the IDUs modulator, specially if you have got low power levels.
