Title: Future of the II+
Post by Lukio on Feb 16th, 2008 at 5:25pm
Hey Guys,

Not sure if any of you would know but what is the future for our dear old II+ NM's?  I'm pretty sure that iDirect don't manufacture them any more and with the (in my opinion) superior iNfiniti models and the forthcoming eVolution series is there a future for the good old blue box?

Cheers,

Lukio ;.)

I am not sure WHEN support will end for them.  Hard to say...

The were a pretty stable platform, but pretty much inferior to the current line and future lines (evolution).

Having experience of NMII, NMII+ and iNfiniti from a HNO point of view I much prefer the iNfiniti range.  Sadly enough I'm quite excited about the eVolution launch!

Mike, did you have any problems with the II+ relating to low TX O/P power?  I had literally hundreds go up the spout this way.

I havent used NMII+s since (I think) 2005.  Sometime after the release of the iNFINITI family.  The main problem that I had with that model was when they would PUSH UP power (all the way to the configured MAX in the optiosn file) and eventually they would let go (die completely). There is a tech bulletin on that condition.

The ones that worked.....worked well.
