Post by enetprovider on Mar 31st, 2008 at 1:02am
Hello there,

i was trying the command on the telnet. I didn't understood well the command zeroize and i put in the command of the telnet zeroize all. Only the power led is on. I have no connectivity at all. I can ping the terminal but i can't telnet into it or with iSite. Any comments or ideas pls? :(

You have a long road ahead of you.

Things you will need:

- console cable
-WinSCP
- the remote image and cumulative update for the iDS version you were using.
- options file (for Falcon) to operate in that iDS.
- iSite for the version you are using.

Get with your service provider and have them walk you thru manually loading that box with its cumulative_update, image, and options file.

Another reason my clients do not have access to the passwords that allow this kind of thing to happen.

According to my notes "zeroize" only resets the secruity paramenters, does this mean it resets the modem back to a factory level Mike?

If so, it's not a command to play with by any means

Honestly, I have never had anyone do this. I would think it is fully recoverable with a console connection and WINSCP.  Again, I have never crossed this bridge or had anyone do this...so I cant even speak (educated) about what settings it may revert to.

I would be interested in seeing how much access is available thru console.  i.e...
Does it get thru redboot?
Falcon (implying there is an opt in it)?

I am somewhat curious of what it reverts to...:)

Hey guys,

Nothing happend here. I have hyperteminal in my computer i tried with 2 modems 3100 with 3 different ways. One with adaptor 9-pin to lan female and another one with connecting the cables as they sent me in the scheme (provider). It doesn't connect with hyperterminal at all. Can anyone help me with this?

Let's say i have the standard UTP with numbers  and colors:

UTP:
1 - white orange
2 - orange
3 - white green
4 - blue
5 - white blue
6 - green
7- white brown
8 - brown

COM adapter female has 9 pins
what color from UTP i have to connect in pin number in the COM female adapter?

Please help guys....

All wrong here....

Thank you!

Yes,
Completely dead. I don't think that the problem is with the modem bcz i tryed with another one modem that is working normally and the same. I think that must be a problem with the cable or with the com port. Hey mike can u send me a scheme for the cable with e-mail: enetprovider@yahoo.com?

Thank you!
