Title: Typical Ping response using DIRECWAY

I wonder if anyone can tell me what a typical ping response should be, say to google.ca. for the Ka band using DIRECWAY which I assume is somehow connected to Telsat Canada????

Can't do it for you myself, I'm Ku-band. But there's no physical reason that Ka-band consumer grade plans should be any faster or slower than Ku-band. It's still regular old bent-pipe operation, nominally 700 to 800ms on a good day. But corporate accounts that pay for onboard switching plans should benefit from reduced RTT.

And Spaceway3 has nothing to do with TeleSat or Anik. It's a completely different satellite, owned and operated by Hughes.
