Title: Need a new Hughes cradle/bracket

The circular brackets on my LNB/BUC are broken and the mount is not in great shape. Does anyone have one for sale or know where I can get one?

I can't view that image url.  It returns a blank html page.

Please send as email attachment to eric@satsig.net and I will put it on the satsig.net server.

Best regards, Eric.

You can see my setup on this post^.
As you will see the hard mineral round pieces that suspend the BUC in the air are both broken and the flat piece that holds them together is not so flat anymore.

Thanks for any help.

The feed horn looks as though it is in the right place and pointing towards the centre of the dish so I am not too worried about the damage to the yoke base and yokes.  Will the rear circular yoke clamp hold the polarisation adjustment angle secure ?  The front clamp looks as though you can loosen the upper joint and reposition the yoke back over the circular BUC rim, where it has slipped off.  Put the broken ends of the nearest metal yoke leg against each other.  Consider a cable tie or similar to secure it all.  If the baseplace is a bit bent try disassembling it and hammering it flat - although there is risk of breakage.

Is the dish profile OK ?  The flatness of the front rim really is important and I would like that flat to 1.5mm.  Try crossed tight fishing lines up/down and across. They should just touch.  If not, you may be able to pull the sides backwards somehow.

Best regards, Eric.

The mounting plate is bent a little at the front, but that can be held in place with the bolt so it is not a major concern for me. The yokes are the main concern as both are broken. The front yoke is missing most of the far side and the rear yoke is broken all the way through near the bottom right side which wont allow me to tighten it into place an I believe it is allowing the front ned to sag a bit.

I will be up on my roof this evening to check the flatness of the dish and I will post an update tomorrow.
