Title: Need Help for VoIP on HN7740
Post by Malzizs318 on Dec 12th, 2008 at 4:34pm
we have experience problem with our voip lines on HN 7740s which occurred intermittently. Sometimes we are able to use this VOIP lines and sometimes not. It will display cause code 34 (No Circuit/Channel Available) if we telnet to IDU.

What is the cause of this problem?.

Weather conditions affect satellite connections on both ends. On a clear day at your location, it might be pouring down rain at the distant earth terminal. If/when their link with the satellite is disrupted, it affects your end as well.

I make it a point to bookmark a weather page in my browser, so that I'm able to periodically check for pending conditions that may affect my NOC.
