3100 modem?

1.  Layer one good?  (that cable?)
2.  Is your hyperterm configured correctly? 9600 or 4800 8N1?

Look at your options file and determine the console port speed and make sure your hyperterm reflects that - 9600 or 4800.  8.0.2.7 Reboot and falcon are 9600 unless they have been changed (in redboot or falcon).

Thanks alot,,,

I will give it try ...

I have original Cisco cable with the correct pinsout...

But do I have to see light of console lamp  ?

Can the console be turned off from option file ?

No, but the port speed can certainly be changed onced Falcon loads.  It changes to what they have configured in the options file.

I tried the following speed :
2400
4800
9600
19200
115200
But nothing worked .

I can't find anything related to console port in Option File .

Is there any section specified for Console (Section name) '[.....]' ?

It will be in [MOBILE] if the remote is set to mobile and not static. Else it will be the 9600.
