Title: Could IPv6 Networks Revolutionize ?

Could IPv6 Networks Revolutionize ?

I can sniff now already there are many market segments which can get obsolete and lose business with the adoption of IPv6 in future.

Yet at the same time, I can also sense there could be new opportunities and new requirements which can come out eventually due to this new transition too.

Could IPv6 revolutionize ?

If so what we can dream new about ?

Just eager to get/collect views who may share and or discuss about it !
Anyway before sending your views also I appreciate you also see my recent video on topic:
Internet on IPv6 = WAN

So, how it can change  the future ?

I am very much curious to get some serious views, future predictions  and ideas from everyone !

Cheers, Kiran

FYI, my context is very large, it can be a broad imagination... also to the context of this discussion forum, so also assume what can be ... in the case of VSAT Technology, what could be the future if IPv6 is in place ?

I don't have a horse in this race, but what happens if it's NOT implemented??

Phone companies ran out of numbers years ago, so came up with new numbering schemes. The USPS eventually found the 5 digit post code to be inadequate, and adopted the 9 digit. I simply view it as evolution.

As far as the impact on VSAT, zero. IPVx is a function of the server farm. Strictly terrestrial.

I've got an IPV6 address here (as well as IPV4 address) and was wondering what, if anything, I could do with it.
Is there any point in putting server on it ?  Would anyone be able to come to it if the IPV6 address was put on a DNS record ?
What can it be used for ?

Best regards, Eric
