Post by akki on May 23rd, 2012 at 2:51pm
We have 2150C spectrum analyzer we checked the complete manual but we didn't find that should we connect the dc blocker with it or not,

If any one using this model please let me know about DC blocker,

I've looked at the manual and it says to that input levels in excess of +15 dBm can cause damage. Also, it says "Use only the external DC power supply included with the unit."

Some versions may be able to send +13, +19V and 22kHz tone up the input cable, obviously intended to power and control an LNB.

I would avoid connecting any DC to the input. Contact AVCOM and they will be able to confirm what voltage is acceptable. It is quite likely that there is a DC block (a capacitor) inside, but you need to check.

If you do use a DC block you will no longer be able to use the LNB power option or 22kHz tone.

Best regards, Eric.
