Title: Can COTS DVB-S2 receiver work with two-way VSAT Hub's DVB-S2 downstream carrier ? Post by Yang Feng on Sep 23rd, 2015 at 6:55am
All,
We will probably deploy a TDM/TDMA system (either iDirect or Hughes). Their Hub's DVB-S2 downstream carrier might use MPE or GSE encapsulation. One target of our applications is data multicasting. For those related remotes if we use COTS DVB-S2 receiver (receiving only), do you think they can work with Hub’s DVB-S2 downstream carrier with no problem ? Personally I think negative, because each VSAT vendor has puts their specifies into their products. What are your possible inputs ? Regards, Feng |

I suggest you contact Hughes and iDirect and ask if what you want to do is possible.
