Can anyone tell me how many different types of LNB's used around the globe? Thanks!

I found 4 types for those that do not know.

Ku-band
C-band
Ka-band
X-band

As far as I know, India uses S-band ranging around  1500Mhz. for their DTH(Direct To Home) satelite service.

For the record, S-band (IEEE) is considered between 2GHz and 4GHz. 1.5GHz is down in the L-band (IEEE). Frequencies below C-band are generally limited to terrestrial use. This chart may help:
Band       Frequency range       Origin of name
HF band     3 to 30 MHz           High Frequency
VHF band   30 to 300 MHz        Very High Frequency
UHF band   300 to 1000 MHz     Ultra High Frequency
L band       1 to 2 GHz               Long wave
S band       2 to 4 GHz               Short wave

Ka band      27 to 40 GHz       Kurz-above

Thanks for the details. C band starts from 4 GHz.(actually we get as low as 3.5 Ghz as C band in satellite transmission). I will try to find the link to 1.5 Ghz as S band)
