The G-28 satellite is operated by Intelsat and is located at 271E 89W longitude and provides coverage across North and South America.

The satellite was launched on 24th Jun 2005 and has an expected lifetime of 15 years.

It carries carry 92 transponders with a total end-of-life power of 16 kW.

The payload will include 36 Ku-band, 22 C-band, and 24 Ka-band active transponders, providing coverage across North and South America.

The North America beam is used by Skycasters for Ku band satellite internet services to VSAT terminals in the coverage as shown.
