How to set time on Breville microwave
How to set the clock on Panasonic Microwave
Setting the time: This applies to Stoves gas Cooker, with high level Hood and Grille as illustrated below:
To adjust the time display, press the two buttons, Cooking time and End of Cooking time, simultaneously and hold down while using the - and + (down and up buttons), on the right to set the time on the digital clock.
"A" symbol: If you see an "A" symbol in top left corner this means that you have somehow got the cooker into Automatic mode, probably by pressing button 2 (called cook time) on its own. Press button 4 (called manual mode button) to clear the "A".
Alarm too quiet: If you are using the left ( No 1 called minute minder ) button (and the +/- buttons) to set the minute minder and the bleeper alarm is silent or too quiet when the number of minutes had counted down to zero then the Alarm sound has been set too low. You may select several levels of the Alarm sound. Press and the - button alone and listen to the tone. Release the - button. If that tone was good for you, you can stop now. If is was too quiet press - again and a different tone/level will sound. Release the - button. If that tone was good for you, you can stop now. You may repeat this process, hopefully finding a tone/level that is loud enough.
Main oven not working: Note that the main oven will not work under manual control until the clock time has been set. This matters if you have had a mains electricity failure and want to use the main oven manually.
If you don't have the instruction manual, I hope the above information is of use to you.
It has been brought to my attention that there is an older version of Stoves cooker with a timer assembly that has just 5 buttons. In this case the following procedure has worked successfully:
Starting on the left, number the buttons 1 2 3 4 5
Press 2 and 3 simultaneously with left hand fingers.
Press 4 and 5 individually with one right hand finger, as necessary, to adjust the time.
